I really don't know why I blog.
I always have the best of intentions, but invariably, I forget about them and never post again.
This time, however, I hope to break that cycle and maintain a long and wordy blog filled with my interests and thoughts.
Introduction.
Best place to start is, I suppose, my blog title - trainbrain Depot. As may be apparent, I have some interest in trains. Specifically, steam trains. I read about them. I watch movies about them. I model them. Yes, when it comes to steam trains, I am never certain of which side of the fine line between "hobby" and "madness" I stand.
In all likely hood, much of my blog content will be about trains. I do have other interests, and I intend to discuss them here as well. What other interest do I have?
I collect Model Railroader Magazines and Railroad Model Craftsman Magazines. I know, more trains, but in this instance, it is actually about the antique value.
Star Wars. I am of the generation that cut their teeth on Star Wars. I am not one of those who dress up in costumes (although, in all honesty, if I had a costume, I just might), but I love everything to do with Star Wars.
Reading. I love to read. All different kinds of books, but my favourites are definitely science fiction and fantasy.
Health. I have a few health issues, and so from time to time I may I may touch on those particular subjects. Although, I will not elaborate here.
Genealogy. I have been researching my family tree now for about 15 years now and have 11,000 + individuals in it. I find studying my roots to be fascinating.
Above all, however, I am a husband and a father of two beautiful little girls. I may do some posting in a doting daddy from time to time. What can I say? I am happily married.
That's all for now. I have a notoriously short attention span, so I must go and recharge.
